Dr Moritz Lange
Profile
The focus of Dr Moritz Lange is on individual defence briefs related to white-collar crime and tax offences as well as advisory services for and the representation of corporate clients in criminal cases, also in an international context, with an emphasis on the areas of banking, capital markets and tax criminal law (“cum/ex”, “cum/cum”, reverse market claims, etc.). Dr Lange also regularly represents clients in money laundering proceedings as well as investigative measures in connection with industrial accidents.
Having been awarded the distinction of “Rising Star” for his work in the field of white-collar crime by the publication Expert Guides in 2020, the industry already recognised Dr Lange’s abilities early in his career. He is considered a “very experienced criminal defence lawyer” (Legal 500 2024) and a “specialist for cum-ex” (JUVE 2023/24). In 2023, the JUVE editorial team elected him, as one of only two criminal law experts, to the elite group of the “40 under 40” and further named him a “rising star in commercial and criminal tax law” in 2024. Handelsblatt lists him among “Germany’s best lawyers” in the field of commercial and criminal tax law in 2024. Legal 500 2024 ranks Moritz Lange among the country’s market leaders.
